The services provided by AIMM Notary Services™ are limited strictly to notarial acts as authorized under the Illinois Notary Public Act (5 ILCS 312) and related laws.

As commissioned Illinois Notary Publics, we are authorized to perform the following notarial acts:

Acknowledgments — verifying that a signer personally appeared before us and acknowledged executing a document

Jurats / Verifications on Oath — administering oaths or affirmations and certifying that a signer swore or affirmed to the truth of a document's contents

Witnessing or attesting signatures

Certifying copies of certain documents (as permitted by Illinois law)

Administering oaths and affirmations

Performing Remote Online Notarization (RON) as authorized under Illinois law

Performing loan signing agent services as a trained and commissioned notary signing agent

The following are outside our authorized scope and are NEVER provided under any circumstances:

• Legal advice of any kind about any document or legal matter
• Immigration advice, immigration document preparation, or immigration legal guidance
• Drafting, preparing, or completing legal documents or records
• Explaining the legal effect of any document on your specific situation
• Recommending whether you should sign any document
• Representation before any court, agency, or tribunal
• Attorney-client relationships of any kind
• Predicting the legal or practical outcome of signing any document

Providing any of the above services without a law license constitutes the unauthorized practice of law under Illinois law (705 ILCS 205/1), which is a criminal offense. We strictly comply with these limitations for your protection and ours.

A notary public is a ministerial officer of the State of Illinois. Our role is strictly defined and limited by law. We do not exercise legal judgment about the wisdom, effect, or advisability of any document you present for notarization. Our function is limited to: verifying your identity, confirming that you are signing willingly and appear to understand the nature of the act of signing, and performing the correct notarial act as required by the document and applicable law.

Illinois law requires notaries to refuse service in certain circumstances. We are required to refuse if:

• We cannot verify the signer's identity with acceptable identification
• The signer appears to lack the capacity to understand what they are signing
• The signer appears to be acting under duress or undue influence
• The document is blank or incomplete
• We have a personal interest in the document or transaction that creates a conflict
• The requested notarial act is not authorized under Illinois law

Refusal of notarial service is not a reflection on you personally — it is our legal obligation. We encourage you to contact us before your appointment if you have any questions about whether your document can be notarized.

No attorney-client relationship is created by your use of this Site, by contacting AIMM Notary Services™, or by engaging our notary services. Communications between you and AIMM Notary Services™ are NOT protected by attorney-client privilege.

AIMM Notary Services™ provides loan document signing agent services as a trained and commissioned notary signing agent. In this capacity, we facilitate the execution of real estate loan and closing documents on behalf of title companies, escrow companies, and lenders. In our capacity as a loan signing agent, we do not:

• Represent the borrower, lender, title company, or any other party
• Provide legal advice about loan terms, interest rates, fees, or any provision of any loan document
• Recommend whether a borrower should proceed with or cancel a transaction
• Advise on the right of rescission or any other legal right

Borrowers are encouraged to review all loan documents with their attorney or financial advisor prior to the signing appointment.

AIMM Notary Services™ is certified as a Trust and Estate Notary Specialist (TENS™) and provides notarization services for trust and estate documents including revocable living trusts, pour-over wills, durable powers of attorney, advance healthcare directives, and related documents. In this capacity, we do not:

• Advise on estate planning strategies or options
• Explain the legal effect of trust provisions on your estate
• Recommend trust structures or document types

Our notary services are governed by the Illinois Notary Public Act (5 ILCS 312), the Illinois Compiled Statutes, and all applicable rules and regulations of the Illinois Secretary of State. We maintain a current, valid notary commission issued by the State of Illinois and comply with all applicable bonding and insurance requirements.
